Groundhog Day

As most know, February 2nd marks the traditional holiday known as “Groundhog Day”.  It is widely celebrated in Pennsylvania, with Punxsutawney Phil as the weather forecaster, but the entire nation has come to celebrate this fun tradition. That is most states aside from Nevada. “The groundhog does not interest the southern Nevada people” according to the February 2, 1917 issue of the Tonopah Daily Bonanza.
