Nevada Digital Newspaper Project staff honored to speak at the Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society meeting

March Paseo 6

On Saturday March 24, 2018 the Nevada Digital Newspaper Project staff was honored to speak at the Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society meeting at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, Nevada.

The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide instruction for collecting, preserving and publicizing genealogical, historical and geographical materials.

The Nevada Digital Newspaper Project staff shared an overview of UNLV’s leadership role in this statewide collaboration and also demonstrated the many ways to use the Chronicling America website for research endeavors, including but not limited to: searches, advanced searches, clipping, downloading, saving, and enhancing articles.

We feel so privileged that this wonderful group hosted us and realize the value in the many digitized historic pages of our nation’s newspapers.
We hope the presentation and search tips are helpful and we are always available for additional demonstrations for local organizations and groups.
